Shopping Shopbop Dresses

Some of my current favorites... especialy the Halston gray number... love.  And EB - if you are reading this, all three of the shoshanna dresses would probably be appropriate for the wedding you are going to :)

Speaking of Carven

Check out these incredible mini dresses from Carven's Summer 2010 collection... I am a sucker for a structured mini dress and I want every.single.one. of these.

Vena Cava Fall 2010 Runway Favorites

I seriously love Vena Cava.  I personally can't wear everything they come up with, but that doesnt mean its not gorgeous... (I think if I was about 6 inches taller I could probably pull off all of their looks...sigh).  I was at dinner with some friends the other night, one of whom is a ER nurse (!!!) and she informed me that Vena Cava is a vein that carries blood to your heart... who knew !?  (dont answer that).  These are my favorites from their Fall 2010 runway show.

Blushing Bridesmaids

At the moment I am trying to help one of my best friends find the perfect bridesmaids dresses... I just love the blush colored dresses and the way they look on the girls in the wedding party... very soft and romantic.  Here are some options I found around the web... including my absolute favorite by Carven that is unfortunately way out of the usual bm's dress budget (think almost four digits...).

Intermix Fall 2010 Shoe Collection

I knew it would be a bad idea from the moment the words "lets just stop in Intermix for one second...." came out of my mouth following a lovely lunch with L and E on Saturday at the Ivy on Robertson.   Now all I can think about are these Giuseppi Zanotti military-esque boots that are featured in the middle of this spread.  They are seriously so gorgeous.... unfortunately they are also seriously so $1,400.   The pumps and short boots are also to die for.  Whomever at Intermix was in charge of buying the fall shoe collection should be patted on the back.  Nice work.

Time to Bundle Up!

Well, not right this second, but very soon we will have an excuse to wear coats!  It is hard to justify significant investments in jackets here in southern California, which is why it is imperative that we plan girls trips to New York during the fall and winter!  Or ski trips with our sig others over long weekends in the early spring... either way, we have to do SOMETHING to make the purchase of outerwear necessary.  Here are some coats that have caught my eye (my absolute favorite is the one by Sandro... UGH!):

REED and Roberto

Talk about things I can't afford... These Roberto Cavalli lace up suede backless booties and these Reed Krakoff leather and shearling sandals make me drool.  Can someone over at Urban Outfitters please make some knock-offs that won't break the bank??  Pretty please?

Its all about the H

Two of my absolute favorite brands at the moment are Halston Heritage and Haute Hippie.  This board is my little ode to them.  Halston takes credit for numbers 1,3,4,5,8 and 10.  Numbers 2, 6, 7, 9, 11, 12 and 13 are courtesy of Haute.  I was at bloomingdales the other day and tried on number 8... the insanely gorgeous beige beaded dress by halston heritage... I fell in love and if they had it in stock in my size I would have purchased it (but would have felt VERY guilty afterwards as it is $500 and way out of my budget at the moment).  Seriously if you are reading this and have an event coming up (rehearsal dinner, birthday party, SOMETHING) you should try it on.... its really beautiful.

Rehearsal Dinner Dresses and Shoes

I had the WORST time trying to find a rehearsal dinner dress.  For some reason I just couldn't find anything that I just loved or thought was perfect.  I ended up wearing this cute simple white theory shift dress and aida kibur necklace with elizabeth and james shoes.  I was happy with the outfit, but the shoes were definitely my favorite part of the ensemble (I literally wear them all the time).

Here are some great options if you are currently looking for your own rehearsal dinner get up: (all photos from shopbop.com)
