Holiday Attire

I made a little stop into my local Cusp store at Centry City yesterday (thanks to a very good and wise friend of mine who provided me with an excuse when she gave me a gift card for my birthday... thank you again!!!)  and I tried on this burgundy 3.1 by Phillip Lim dress... potentially a mistake as it is $600 and now I can't stop thinking about it.  It is really beautiful on, even more so than in this photo.

I almost bought the gray crochet dvf dress for my birthday (instead I went with the one from Elizabeth and James), and I can't really stop thinking about that one either.  I have been in love with the red Winter Kate dress for a bit, and tried that one on at Cusp too... it is really cute but I was a little bit disappointed in the material and the quality of the dress... still probably worth the $285 for a great holiday dress that you can wear all the time, but I wasn't convinced this time around to take it home.  I am looking for dresses to wear to dinner while we are in Napa and I love this one by Madewell - its only $175 and I saw it in person yesterday and it is really cute.   I just found the black long-sleeved dress by Torn by Ronny Kobo, that could be a good napa alternative too.  And I just LOVE the color of the camel-esque phillip lim... LOVE.  would be great for work or wine tasting... hmm... and who doesn't love a pair of loubies?
