shopping in istanbul: vintage

i got home last sunday from an amazing trip to london, florence, lake como, and istanbul.  there is incredible shopping in all of these locations, but it was a shop in istanbul across the street from the historical (and very cool) pera palace hotel that was my favorite retail discovery on my entire trip.  i popped in by chance (my mom wanted to look in the store just next door) and when i saw that the store was filled with vintage, i got so excited i almost had to sit down.  the store is called original seconds, and those of us who dont live in turkey are so lucky that they have a website and online boutique! the prices on the site are in turkish lira, and right now the exchange rate is about 1.65 turkish lira for every us dollar. i absolutely fell in love with istanbul while i was there, and i hope to be able to go back to original seconds in the not too distant future.  here are some shots i took of the shop:
