So cute!! Such a great handbag and a pretty darn good price too ($130). This bag by Zambos & Siega would be great for day or nighttime, and I think it would look especially good with a pair of chunky espadrilles, some Dita sunglasses and a mojito, or maybe a large glass of pinot grigio, or maybe a vodka soda with a splash of lemonade (which is what my pilates instructor instructed me to drink this weekend instead of anything with large amounts of sugar... good thinking Mark :) Anyway, got a little off topic there for a minute... but in staying off topic, if you are going to palm springs for any reason you really should try staying at the Parker http://www.theparkerpalmsprings.com/index.php, I ABsolutely LOved it and wish I was still there. Here is a photo of my vodka soda with a splash of lemonade and another of my "gams" as my friend AW put it when we were relaxing by the pool... SOO nice out that day. Anyway, I wish I had this bag this weekend because it would have gone perefctly with my outfits and the surroundings, and, of course, the beverages :)

Twitsty Pumps
I would LOVE my bridesmaids to wear shoes like this... SO pretty and feminine and a little vintage-y... would be perfecto. These ones by Elizabeth and James are a little pricier than what I am looking for though, dont the Olsen twins know that some of us are on a budget!?!
I am feeling very bridal
I have less than 2 months til the big day and for some reason I am SO drawn to white dresses lately... I already have THE white dress, but there are so many great ones out there that are WAY less formal and so cute. I want something fabulous to wear when we go to the airport the day after the wedding to go on our honeymoon (tahiti... so excited; probably wont come back...). Maybe this white dress by Twelfth St. by Cynthia Vincent would do the trick?
White Hot
Here is a dress that the bride could wear to her own shower... or maybe for a night on the town at the bachelorette party? I mean, Rebecca Minkoff did call this The White Hot Dress... maybe I can justify this one to wear out one night at my bachelorette party (it is coming up pretty soon here and is in cabo san lucas, mexic... SO excited for margaritas!)... so cute.
Its Wedding Season... Who DOESNT Need A Bridal Shower Dress?
Two of my mother's dearest friends hosted a bridal shower for me earlier this month, it was just lovely and I could not have asked for a more wonderful day. One of my mom's friends hosted the event at her beautiful home outdoors on their patio with a great view. Which got me thinking, there really are certain dresses that are just perfect for outdoor or garden bridal showers... like this yellow one by Marc by Marc Jacobs. Its the perfect weight, length, and lets face it, that yellow is gorgeous and perfect for a bridal shower.
In The Nude
Wow this is gorgeous. I LOVE the open back and the detail on the top... they are out of my size, which is definitely a good thing right now (boooo). This little nude number is by Porter Gray. Who knew nude could look so nice?

Straps... and no straps
Summer is right around the corner, and that means STRAPPY SANDALS! YAY! I remember the first pair of cognac leather strappy heels that my mother bought me when I was in college... they were Anne Kline and they had braided criss cross straps on the toes and then the same wrapped around my ankle... I just found them in my closet the other day and they are completely worn out... which means it must be time for a new pair, right?? Anyway, these gorgeous strappys by Sergio Rossi and Giuseppe Zanotti are some of my favorites I have seen recently... And then of course there are some very spring time pumps that caught my eye too... also by Mr. Rossi....

T minus 2.5 months...
I have now gotten to the point that when people ask me "when are you getting married?" and I respond "May 22," without fail, the asker's eyes widen and the immediately say "wow, that is coming up SOON!" or something else along those lines, but that definitely includes the word "SOON!" As if I need to be reminded!! haha. I am very excited about the big day, dont get me wrong, but I have so much I still need to do, between the little details (gifts for the wedding party) and the slightly larger details (furniture rentals... I REALLY want to rent items from Fete Accompli http://www.feteaccomplievents.com/index.html... but alas, the budget is already stretched pretty much to its breaking point...), and with still needing to do real work for my real job...and anyway - this is just a long excuse for not blogging (though I am not sure if anyone really reads this blog anyway? haha oh well).
I was prompted to write today because I had a chance run in with a jacket that stole my heart. I was popping into Barneys Co-Op at the Grove on saturday during the 35 minutes I had between pilates and my appointment with the woman who is doing my wedding makeup to try to find something cute to wear during Mr. S's and my engagement photo shoot that was on Sunday, and, after finding two adorable skirts:
The first by Opening Ceremony:
And the second by Ever:
Then I ran into this jacket by Helmut Lang:
On me the sleeves are normal length haha... and frankly, this photo does not do it justice...I told the lovely sales person that I had an unhealthy obsession with the jacket and he said he completely understood. Honestly, WHY does it have to cost $500!?!?! grrrr. but, I still love it and I am just going to have to lust after it... the credit card is still frozen. arg.

This Greatly Inhibits My Shopping Abilities
So, in the spirit of our upcoming wedding (eeek only four months away!) I decided to be honest and forthright with my fiance about my current credit card balance... BIG mistake. HUGE. After a lengthy game of keep-the-credit-card-away-from-Mr. S, which I clearly lost, my credit card received a very chilly prison sentence (just how long it is going to stay in the freezer I do not know...). And unfortunately for me, this is the credit card whose multi-digit number I do not know by heart.
Loeffler's Twist on the Gladiator
These sandals by Loeffler Randall are perfect for the just-around-the-corner springtime. I just LOVE Loeffler's little heels that they put on so many of thier shoes... just a little lift but still oh-so-feminine and pretty... I would like those in my closet now, please :-)

Must Have
Shoot. It is clearly time for me to remove myself from the online shopping realm today... After a lot of browsing I found something that I actually think I might have to buy. Usually I am pretty safe, I can browse online and collect all of my favorite things on this blog and then I can move on (always just a little sad that I can't buy everything I post about) and my hard earned $ stays put in the bank. Not this time I'm afriad. I have a sneaking suspicion that this beautiful Nanette Lapore Cutlass Ruffle Jacket will be arriving at my apartment via Fed Ex on the next business day... eeek!
Eye Catching Camisole
Haute Hippie is into ruffles as much as I am I think... I love this Ruffled Silk Camisole, I love the color and the asymmetric and diagonal ruffles. The only bad news is that I believe the "Haute" and not the "Hippie" dictates the prices on these lovely items...
Sex and the City Tutu Take Two
If you are like me and have seen every episode of Sex and the City 20376587623487 times, then you remember the adorable tutu-esque outfit donned by Carrie during the opening credits. Haute Hippie's strapless ruffle dress is like a new version of this look and I love it. I think I would shorten it just a tad if I were spinning around in it on camera for the opening credits of my tv show... sigh, a girl can only dream ;-)

Drooling Over Derek Lam
UGH. Thank goodness the color of this gorgeous creation would look terrible on me. Such a fun dress by Derek Lam... if it came in black I would be in SERIOUS trouble, er, rather my bank account would be in serious trouble...
Robo-Hot
If this is what it means to be I-Robot, I am in. I can't say this is a "this would look good on anyone" frock, but it is definitely futuristic fantastic. Again and again, Camilla and Marc are a girls best friend.
Speaking of Rio...
This hot little top would probably only look good on my friend L... she definitely has the bod to rock this low cut, slightly revealing and very sexy tank by Leyendecker. Too bad she wasnt able to snatch it up and take it with her to Rio for New Years. Oh well, there is always next year I suppose...
Sans Straps...
I really love the draping and the material... the straps I could do without. I wonder if you could have them removed from the dress without it looking like you had the straps removed from the dress...?? Anyway, this grecian number by Leyendecker is great for the springtime... and perhaps for an upcoming bridal shower??

Oh My OPI
I am in love with O.P.I.'s France Collection, which includes this beautiful gray / taupe color called "You don't know Jacques!" In fact, I garnished my fingernails with this lovely color of gray this afternoon and it couldnt look more lovely. You can purchase this color at a GREAT price at SV Beauty Supply (they are usually $8 a pop, but on this site they are sold for $4.25 a bottle... a STEAL).
Perfectly Priced Pumps
If you are in need, like I am, of some great gray pumps, these Dolce Vita pumps in Grigio Gray are for you. They are really pretty, and their price at $155 makes them even more attractive.

Holiday Party Skirts... Naughty and Nice At The Same Time
Its time to match those drapy shirts with some spicy skirts for the holidays girls. This means YOU Kim Lee. No BOOOOOOORING black pants with your pretty black drapey sweater... you have to kick it up a notch! Especially when you are going to be in NYC for NYE. Here are some of my new found favs by Haute Hippie, Myne, Milly, A Common Thread, and M Missoni.
Necessary Object by Jill Stuart
I mean, who doesnt need a leather skirt? Jill Stuart knows that we all do.... and shopbop.com knows we need it at 30% off.

Holiday Party Dress No. 1
I have said it before, and I'll say it again. Camilla and Marc always hit the nail on the head. I just love this dress and want to wear it to the gift exchange / holiday party I am throwing tomorrow night... but alas, this shopoholic has put herself on a not-so-camilla-and-marc friendly budget for the holidays... booo.

Unclear: Overwhelming or Just Right?
I really do love all things rosette-like (which is so obv by looking through these posts) but I think Haute Hippie may have gone a little too far with this one... I like the color and the fabric, but honestly, there is probably no way that this would ever look good on me or any of my girlfriends. I am leaning toward overwhelming on this one unfortunately.
Its November, its time for a new pair of BOOTS!
These suede boots by Ash come in Black and in Grey and are perfectly priced for my pre-holiday shopping budget... only $300 (which may seem like its not that cheap, but compared to the Loefflers that I posted earlier, they are a good deal). Pretty! Lets see if my bank account can justify them...

Woven Bracelets
I love these woven bracelets by Lavender, especially the one with the gold chain and leather. Yum.

Twelfth St. Top
Great for work or for play, this top by Twelfth St. by Cynthia Vincent is versitle and looks super comfy too.
Leather Lang for Fall
This gorgeous Helmut Lang leather jacket would go great with so many outfits... too bad it wouldnt go as great with my pocket book...

Love by Lela Rose
I am SO into this color... this is the color I want my bridesmaid dresses to be and the color I want to incorporate in my wedding, and frankly, this color really looks good on most people. And I just love the simple sophistication of this dress. Just beautiful. A little out of my price range, but if I could afford it, this Lela Rose dress would find a home in my closet.

Loeffler has done it again
This Loeffler Randall item is the epitome of a day to night dress... totally aprop for the office (maybe with a little cardigan) and then perf for happy hour(s) afterwards (sans cardigan obv). Love. I have to say, I ordered this dress online and, since I have come to the sad realization that I am just not going to grow any taller, I am going to have to get it hemmed a bit on the bottom because it is just a little too long on me... (I am only 5'3").
Snakeskin + Gladiator + 4 Inches
Why is it that I fall in love with these shoes that are so freaking expensive? NOT FAIR! Giuseppe Zanotti heels are just so beautiful. These Snakeskin Gladiators are no exception. Too bad I can't afford them...
